GALT DECA

DECA’s written events are a unique opportunity for students. They require problem-solving skills and critical thinking. In each category, you will be required to write a paper on a specific topic, such as entrepreneurship, finance or marketing, individually or as a team. You will not showcase your paper at regionals, instead you will present it in Toronto, at Provincials to the judges. At provincials, you or your team, will individually complete a qualifying test, regarding your subject area. For example, the innovation plan paper requires the entrepreneurship test (multiple choice).  This event is great for people who enjoy planning, have great written communication skills, and are confident in presenting a new concept in front of judges.
